Favorite Image 2007 #9: Stephanie Glamour Headshot

This is a great headshot take on a bed. The reason I don’t like this shot more is the model gave me trouble over how many images I was suppose to give her. So while I like the image, I’m not emotionally attached to it.

  1. What do you mean by “how many images” you were supposed to give her? Does she mean comp’d prints? Or where you simply unwilling to allow her to print more copies regardless of whether she paid or not?? Or is it something else???

  2. Regardless, I like the picture a lot.

Her look might be a bit to wholesome for the pose, but I’m a fan of that angle.

  3. This shoot was Time for Prints. What that means varys by photog. In my case I give the model 10 retouched images. She came back after the shoot and wanted like 30 retouched images. That takes way too much time. I also choose not to have unretouched images made public. Given she thought the unretouched images were “good enough” showed she didn’t know good when she saw it.

Few of the models I shoot with would pay for more retouching. If it is a few images I’ll do them for them, but 30 was too many.

The real problem is she tried to change the deal after the shoot. Which is what pissed me off.
