Google is watching me. I was diagnosing some network problems and click google video and it had a list of suggestions. This was the first one.

Ah, sorry, misunderstood.
Though, I confess, having my thumbs that close to the moving slide does fill me with a small amount of trepidation…
Well they are below the slide, and where else would you put them.
If you were actually holding them on the slide, you’d learn pretty quick to move them. 
Mine kind of stick out to the side a fair bit… his seemed quite flush. I suppose if you handle a firearm as much as he does on a daily basis, you get more comfortable with it, but… yeah. I like my thumbs.
