State of the Blogosphere

The Technorati guys are taking about the state of blogging. They have a lot of interesting stats on the growth of blogging. But this stuck out to me.

About 55% of all blogs are considered active – that is, 55% of all weblogs have had a posting in the last 3 months. In addition, 13% of all weblogs (currently 1.8 Million blogs) update at least weekly.

Posting once in 3 months is considered active! Wow I could keep my cooking blog active pretty easily. :)

To me active means at least once a week, which is only 13% of blogs.

Reminds me I need to figure out how to add Technocrati tags to my posts.
